Our Team

Gareth Thomas
Founder & Managing Director
Gareth has over 25 years’ experience across strategy, operations and transformation in industries including mining, infrastructure, telecommunications and financial services.
Much of this work has been in complex, high-pressure environments where delivering outcomes depends on how effectively systems, teams and leadership operate together.
Gareth has seen first-hand how performance is shaped by the quality of connection within teams and organisations. It has become a defining focus of his work to understand how both can be strengthened together, leading to the founding of Lumren.

He began his career as a chemical engineer in technical roles and learned-often the hard way-that outstanding safety, operational, financial and performance outcomes are not driven by technical capability alone. They are achieved through people: building cohesive, high-trust team cultures, developing individuals, and creating purpose and meaning in the work.
Kerry has held roles spanning Supervisor, Superintendent, Manager and General Manager across both operational and functional disciplines. Most recently, he worked as a Master Coach, leading global leadership development initiatives and providing executive coaching.

Andrew is an expert in designing and implementing operational and business improvement programs, building and strengthening strategic objectives to drive growth and create customer value.
Andrew has lived experience of the impact that environments focused solely on performance can have on both individuals and long-term business outcomes. This has led Andrew to focus on supporting organisations to deliver sustainable, positive impact through more balanced approaches that integrate a performance orientation with a stronger focus on people.

He has consulted internationally and throughout Australia across a range of organisations, cultures and operating models, for more than 20 years.
